Our D.C. trip in March of 2007 we used primarily the subway to get around.
This is where the Super Mom Story comes from. We were switching trains and Liam got on the subway just as the doors closed. In the movies they make it look so hard and impossible to get the doors open. It didn't seem that hard to me. Call it super-Mom power, but that train was not leaving with my six year old on it. I not only got the doors open but everyone in our group was able to get on.
